The Columbine restaurant is a beautiful and quaint family-run restaurant located between Market Place and The Old Theatre. Kim McNally and her husband Steve will ensure you are warmly welcomed. They are extremely flexible in every regard with their beautiful home cooked cuisine and even opening early or late for pre-booked theatre suppers.
Steve has wealth of experience and has been a chef at many a fine restaurant and country hotel. Steve and Kim took over the Columbine in 1992 and gained entry to the Good Food guide where they have remained guided ever since.
The Columbine Buxton has also gained recognition from Peak District Cuisine for their love for local and its produce ensuring diners experience a true taste of Derbyshire. Steve changes the menu almost daily to keep in touch with the freshest produce. Fantastic dishes such as Aylesbury Duckling with Orange and Grand Marnier or Rich Local Venison and Topside Pies will put a smile on any discerning diners face!

Found this little gem by scouring the internet, and was baffled as to how I have never been to this place before. Made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in, the head-waiter helped us find some dishes we could have due to allergies, and was sorted very efficiently. Enjoyed the gressingham duck and particularly the desserts, which looked divine. Am looking forward to making this our top restaurant. Would recommend very highly.
