In keeping with the Le Mistral ethos, the Bakewell restaurant oozes the same charm and character that the Wirksworth and Nottingham branches do. It’s all about relaxed, bistro style dining that encourages guests to slow down and enjoy the delicious food for an hour or two. The restaurant is candle lit at most times, making it an ideal place to meet with loved ones or perhaps to start a new romance. Dark wood panelling runs round the entire room and clads the bar whilst a large stone fireplace and beautiful wooden beams covered in fairy lights add a fairy tale twist.

The menu showcases the rich flavours and textures of France with starters including moules marinière and baked camembert with crusty bread. You will find the mains as equally mouth-watering with dishes such as beautiful beef bourguignon, salmon fillet with a pesto crust, and hearty sausage of the day and mash. There is a limited menu for vegetarians that, whilst small, is delicious.
