My family and I much enjoyed Piedaniel's French restaurant in Bakewell. The food was very good indeed and the service was excellent. Wines were quite pricey and the restaurant is not cheap - £195 for five os us. However, we all agreed that it was worth it.

My wife and I were both very impressed by this place. Our main courses of Duck and Brill were precisely cooked. We both thought our starters were imaginative. I finished the meal with a calvados which was very fairly priced. Would definitely eat here again next time I am in Bakewell. BTW Lady Manners School is to be congratulated for producing such excellent gels for waiting on!

The staff were attentive and very happy to spend time talking to you but never overstayed their welcome. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, there was an excellent range of wines both by the bottle or the glass. We were not rushed and there were enough people in the restaurant to make the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. An excellent evening and we will certainly return in the future.
