The Old Post is a family-run affair with Mary and Hugh Cocker at the helm. The duo have put their heart and soul into the Old Post and have been rewarded with an AA rosette and recognition in the local area as well as nationally; being voted as one of the top ten restaurants in the UK.

The restaurant has been lovingly restored and decorated and has kept the focus on the original features such as the beams and fireplace. Hugh has worked with celebrity chef Brian Turner and has been awarded several, highly deserved, accolades including  Time Out to AA best restaurants. The menu features a mix of classic British as well as more European dishes that range from Roast Rump of Peak Lamb served with boulangere potatoes, puy lentil ragout and roasted cherry tomatoes, to Caramelised red onion, yellow pepper and gruyere roulade with a red pepper coulis and mediterannean vegetables.
